Today
morning in the local train, a little boy came selling various small things. I
looked up and my eyes fell on a beautiful rubber ball. I asked the boy how much it was.
"Rs.20 /-" I reached for my bag and saw I forgot my wallet. By then he had
set his mind on making his first earning today. He waited 2 stations for me in hope. I felt sad partly for him since by now he was
eagerly waiting and partly for d pretty ball. Now I know I am too old for that. But then... this lady sitting next to me paid the guy and told me that
I must have the ball. I looked in surprise. But she insisted "no you must
get it! It's no problem!" The boy took te money and left. But to me in a
busy, jam packed city like Mumbai, it reminded of why it thrives and survives...
